The Vision Behind SCTC
Established originally in 2016 by our Principal Visionary, Moses Amiebenomo, SCTC Africa was built on a commitment to restoring traditional craftsmanship as a prestigious, high-status discipline. He rejects the mechanical shortcuts of modern trade schools, believing that youth empowerment begins with intellectual rigor and material sovereignty. We do not train hand-laborers; we develop structural timber engineers who shape the future of African architecture.
Elite Certification Pathway
Our fellows master cell-level timber physics, descriptive wood geometry, and permanent timber joinery. Graduates of SCTC obtain an unprecedented five recognized credentials to guarantee high employability and formal contractor standing:
- Basic Trade Certificate: Foundation knowledge in wood physics and workshop safety.
- NABTEB Technical: National Business and Technical Examinations Board accreditation.
- National Trade Test: Ministry of Labour official trade test credentials.
- Masters Carpentry: SCTC premium credential verifying complex joinery execution.
- National Skills Qualification (NSQ): The ultimate practical competency standard validating supervisory capacity.
A Continental Shift in Craftsmanship
The Master Fellowship is a rigorous 1-year academic pathway (2 Semesters, 4 Quarters) representing 2,300+ training hours spent entirely inside our Abuja workshop ateliers. By 2027, the SCTC framework will have incubated a massive new generation of master craftsmen capable of executing turnkey luxury projects that rival the finest ateliers in Milan and London.
